Double Vision?

Had a rare occurrance today, I found my car's twin. This car needs some serious TLC though. Pictures don't seem to show it (although it seemed pretty clean and mine hasn't been to the bath in a while, maybe that is why)

That happened to me twice with my white '88 Bird. The first time I was crawling about inside my father's Explorer as it lay on its side after he ditched it, gathering personal effects before the tow truck arrived, and a white T-Bird identical to mine drove by. I watched it go by and said "Holy shiznit, that's my car!" but immediately realized it couldn't be, as I had only droppe dmy car off at home minutes earlier and it was snowing so bad the car never would have gotten back to that spot so quickly (I drove my 4WD Cherokee back to teh accident scene).

Another time in the same area (so it was likely the same car) I came out of a country store to find another white 'Bird parked next to mine. The owner was nowhere to be seen.

Seeing another Fox 'Bird is rare enough around here, but to see one just like mine was kinda neat...

I walked outside and saw this car and was wondering how Joe got it over to that lot without my keys.  It is the lot that he parks his 'stang in and I had his tools in my trunk, so I thought for sure it was a trick.  Once I realized it was impossible, I had to get some pictures.  Its pretty rare to see a fox Tbird or Cougar, let alone one my exact color scheme.  Given it seems to be a fairly rare color combo anymore.

Jeez I get excited when I see a t-bird/cougar in general the other one I bought is the closest to the one I already have that I have ever seen, only seen maybe 4-5 other 80-82's around here, maybe a couple dozen 83-88's but too many SN95's

Come to central Il thats the only color scheme you can find. Medium Rose Quartz with tan or brown interior with the shifter on the column. But none as nice as either one of those. That was the color scheme I settled for on my bird becasue it was hard to find anything else.

It must just depend on where you live.

When I saw the title of this thread, I automatically thought of Foreigner's "Double Vision." lol

That is awesome! So I'm not the only one who goes to parkinglots and before entering the store/building I take a glance around to see if there is any tbirds/cougars in the lot. Haha nice pics!

Are you parked at a school or something?  I see that both cars have identical "things" hanging from the mirror.

Yeah, it is right across from Cather/Pound/Neihardt dorms at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Actually the tags are slightly different.  The blue tag (on the other Cougar) is for all blue lots where my Blue/Brown tag is for the 17th & R St Parking Garage.  I pulled in just for these pictures (and since I can park in blue lots on the weekends)

Derik, I thought the same thing, that is why I used that title. :)

Oh, if anyone is confused, mine is the Minnesota cat.  I haven't bothered to establish residency yet.

I've never seen my cars twin in a Tbird but one time when I was sitting at a light a cougar pulled up next to me with the same tue tone paint as mine. I guess you could say it was a "distant cousin";)

That's cool. I've seen many fox tbirds and cougars around here. Atleast 3 per day, although I see the same ones from time to time. It's always fun when I'm next to one in traffic.

I've seen 4 white XR-7s "like" mine but still haven't found my perfect twin. It's cool because I feel like I have a one of a kind cougar.
