Stereo Installed January 28, 2006, 07:36:01 PM I just finished installing my stereo today, after plenty of problems. All is working except I have to cycle the power a couple times sometimes beacause the speakers dont work everytime.I have the common ground setup and my remote wire turns on the amp. I have the + wire for every speaker connected to there respectable wires. I capped off all of the -'s comming from the stereo and capped the comon ground in the harness.I dont know what the problem would be, If I absolutely have to run new wires I can, but I would rather not, any suggestions are welcome. Thank you. Quote Selected

Stereo Installed Reply #2 – January 28, 2006, 08:04:23 PM Its not that hard to install new wires and you'll get better sound quality than with the tiny stock wires. As soon as you get the time i'd run some new ones.Blazin_Jason where are you located? Quote Selected

Stereo Installed Reply #5 – January 29, 2006, 01:14:31 AM I'm not too familar with who makes Isignia. I don't think many, if any aftermarket decks use a common ground for the speakers. You will only want to use the decks speaker outputs + & - for each individual speaker. So basically one pair of wires per speaker. I'm assuming your car has both dash and door speakers. Most company's don't recommend hooking up more than 1 speaker per output. So you could use the front outputs for either the dash or doors. If you want to use both sets of speakers, best bet would be to use an external amp for them. But if you check the impedence of the speakers of both the dash and doors and it's about 4 ohms, you could use one output for both. Running the deck's outputs at anything much lower could burn up the outputs. Also you should check each of the wires for continuity at the deck. You want to make sure that there is not a complete circuit if you check the + and - to a chassis ground. That will just ensure that the speakers or wire isn't grounded when it shouldn't be. Sorry if it's confusing to understand, but hopefully it helps a little.Jason Quote Selected
