The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #184 – March 28, 2006, 02:43:58 PM Quote from: Aerobird MotorsportsYep they sure did. Unfortunately it's a Pro-Stock. Go back to the 1st page of this thread and start reading, it's all covered. Ok, thats the same body I used to make my conversion. There was a company making aftermarket resin 85-86 Turbo Coupe bodies and I thought someone here might have one. The same company made the Coupe body that I have and I'm trying to reproduce. The T-coupe is next on the list to make. Trust me, when they are ready to order, you guys will have first dibbs on the t-coupes. Quote Selected
The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #185 – April 11, 2006, 12:36:47 AM New model! I bought this mid-90's re-release of the Revell 1969 Baldwin-Motion Stage III 427 Camaro. I painted it in Rust-o-leum spray Metallic Blue (these paints are BAD-ASS! It lays more than a metalflake. I'm VERY impressed). I had to paint the tail white as well as the decals only had the pinstripe. The rest of the striping are decals. I built it box-stock and factory-stock. It's not my best, but it looks good in the sunlight and on the shelf. Not bad for a kit that originally came out before the TC kit. I have about 8-10 hours in it. I added in a pic of the entire collection for posterities sake. I completed 3 last year (Jan the 86 TC, Feb a 87 TC that I later dropped and still needs to be fixed, and Mar the LSC) and 2 so far this year (the 55 in Feb and the B-M in Apr). I'm hoping to finish 6 this year. Quote Selected
The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #186 – April 18, 2006, 01:51:30 AM , I'm suprised at least Sleeper didn't check in on this project. I know it's a Camaro, but I had to pay $$$ to get it off of eBay! I'll try to takse some better pics soon. Quote Selected

The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #188 – April 18, 2006, 05:30:59 PM That's a nice looking Camaro. I just picked up the '87 TC model at Wal-Mart. Going to try to build it this weekend while I'm at work. lol. I have the '92 Cougar to build too. Maybe I can knock both of them off. Quote Selected
The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #189 – April 18, 2006, 10:51:57 PM Sweet Glad you guys are still hanging with me. I'm staying around the shop this 3-day weekend so I'll get to play with the new camera a little and I'll probably get bored and start working on another one. I have a 68 or 69 Hemi Road Runner that I painted in the summer of 2003! It's Hemi Orange and the paint looks great but I haven't done anything else, so I think I'll try to finish that one. I don't have any Mopars done yet and the collection of "builts" needs another muscle car and some more color. Quote Selected

The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #192 – April 24, 2006, 03:52:27 PM Here's one I'm working on..I don't build too many static models anymore.. Since I have a pretty big slot car track in my basp00get I've lately been converting 1/32 and 1/24 cars over to slot car chassis..I found this Torino promo model on eBay for short money because it had a heavy coat of taxi yellow on it..It cleaned up nice~then I shot it blue and masked it off for the second color~then I decaled it up like David Pearsons 1969 Torino.. sort of a "What if David stayed with Holman Moody through 1972" theme~I'm still working on the interior roll cage and driver figure..should be finished up this weekBTW.. Here's my track, it's 20 feet long by 8 feet wide at the far end anf 5.5 feet wide at the near end. It can be raced as a road course or an oval thanks to 2 sections that remove and swap it back and forth.. Quote Selected
