Piston replacement

Tore aprt my motor,  getting a fresh new set of pistons and rings, bearing for the crank and cam.  Forged Flats, also deckign the heads and block should see about 10.5:1 CR, alignment honing, and tanked or vatted (which ever you prefer) and Bored .030 over so I'll soon no longer have a 302 but a 306 (woopdee doo). and new rings I'll post pics as the work is being done so you can  all see the progress. I'll start next week when i get my block back from the machine shop.

it sounds like fun to me and theres nothing wrong with a 306 either,, going flat tops is the tits though , what you plan on doing with the valves,, any clearance issues on the flats? since your decking also?

sounds exaclty like an engine im drooling over but it has 289 heads studed with steel 1.7 rollers but bored 40 over,

Valve releifs for sure, but ill cross that bridge when i get there my head have over sized valves in them with 1.7's and my cam i might have problems I'll just wait till then to deal with it. clay test it fix it and go on, not going to make abig deal over PTV clearance.
