Cat Jam 2006

I plan on making it this year as I've got relative in Canton.  But, I think we should set something like a limit up for parts and the like.  Because if you say just the small stuff, and someone brings a trailer full of small stuff, I'm pretty sure that's what you'd want to avoid.  I think it oughta be something like a "bag limit", similiar to the airport.  Such as, "If it all fits in the trunk, your in the clear", except now it's a car trunk and not an overhead one.  We have similiar rules at the Indy swap meets sometimes as guys like to bargain and sell in the parking lots without paying registration fees.  Sometimes, you get an engine or 2, but thats usually on a per order type deal, and it was pre-arranged.  I've seen this kind of stuff at cruise-ins all around here especially at old car shows with Freon,  Track Bite, and that Zymos wax.

Thanks for the input...it's appreciated man. Believe me, it will be made explicitly clear to everyone that registers. This year we're going to have to do release forms for everyone (again, liability issues) and I'll just mention it then.

Are you kidding?  We are going to have to sign a paper to go to Cat Jam?

Everyone signs a paper that goes..... Eric has to cover himself.
He is kind enough to make all of the arangements for this thing and he takes care of all of it... basically all you do is show up and have fun... Eric does a lot of work for this get together.  I don't think you realize all the work that goes into CJ. And Eric doesn't keep any profits or anything for himself....

I think that signing a paper for him to keep himself covered is a small thing to ask.

Thank you Karen.

(Psst...your check is in the mail.) ;)

Seriously...when I attend Carlisle, there's a release form for me to sign. When I attend a CCOA event, there's a release form for me to sign. This isn't anything over and above what one would expect from any other car show.

It will be on the forthcoming online registration form, as well as a paper copy at the show for those that arrive late.

I'll be honest...it is all about covering my backside. I don't want it to scare people away. I just want everyone to officially state that they're at the show of their own free will, and that if something happens (God forbid), that they will be responsible, not me. Again, it's just like every other show I attend, except I left out all the nasty legalese. ;)

will catjam be boring for a "non" car person?

I'm really jazzed about going to catjam, but girlfriend is not. She's insisting that she goes with me and thinks she might get bored....Will there be things to keep her entertained as well? All I know is that I going no matter what.
