Re: Crunch! Reply #2 – October 05, 2005, 08:31:22 AM QuoteAgresta said he has previously represented Avila, who immigrated from El Salvador seven years ago. Agresta said Avila, a landscaper, is a "really good guy.""He is not some street person," Agresta said. "He has come here to do hard work and survive."We just deported a "good guy" back to India for street racing causing a death. I wonder if your Gov't will do the same? Quote Selected

It's too early to determine how fast the cars were going, Farrell said."There ya go... Quote Selected
Re: Crunch! Reply #5 – October 05, 2005, 03:30:16 PM why would you want to do 100 mph on a city street. that is so beyond stupid.I can see racing on back deserted roads, abandoned industrail parks, and legal drags strips but plowing through intersections and stop lights like that is just asking to kill someone or your self.i just don't get it. a drag strip can't be that far away. Re: Crunch! Reply #7 – October 05, 2005, 05:14:37 PM I'll admit that I have also street raced, it is very stupid but its also funny to beat a 5.0 or a 4.6 with a 2.3 :D Quote Selected
Re: Crunch! Reply #8 – October 05, 2005, 05:21:10 PM Quote from: Funky Cricketi just don't get it. a drag strip can't be that far away.Depents where you live. Nearest drag strip to me 2 hour drive. The locals here think its a bad idea to have a local strip. There would be too much racing after hours and after the track closed. There was a group that tried to build one in the middle of nowhere, like 30min from my house, and the local farmers complaind about the traffic and undesirable coming through there neighbor hood.Gotta love closed minded people. Re: Crunch! Reply #10 – October 05, 2005, 06:41:04 PM well i'm a Mod on a local Street racing board for my area.We have Wend night get together that always ends in racing. But its done out of the way in industrail area'sWe make sure there are no cars at all on the road and we do are best to keep people off the road that watch.Big prob is not street racing as street racing is known its more friends speeding and passing one another hacking around. Thats to them is not street racing but to other people its seen as so. And alot of crashs have been blamed on racing when it was road rage, careless or just bad drivers. Quote Selected
Re: Crunch! Reply #11 – October 05, 2005, 06:43:37 PM That stuff would get your car taken away and auctioned off, down here. (street racing) Quote Selected

Re: Crunch! Reply #13 – October 05, 2005, 11:38:13 PM My favorite part of that article is when the defense attorney calls him a "really good guy" Do you know how many times I've heard that about a guy I've put cuffs on from one of their friends who happens to be there? Guess what? He wasn't a good guy at THAT particular time! Quote Selected
