Re: lambo doors Reply #30 – September 26, 2005, 11:04:01 PM I'd save my energy and maybe try some T-tops. Funky Cricket has a good point, and I'm not even remotely interested in making my T-bird 100lbs heavier. Quote Selected

Re: lambo doors Reply #33 – September 28, 2005, 01:55:51 PM Suicide doors would probably look good on a T-Bird, but the whole flip out and up lambo type door craze that all started in the tuner car scene looks retarded. Quote Selected

So, theyr'e about 145 LBS each, loaded. :D Quote Selected

Re: lambo doors Reply #41 – September 30, 2005, 01:59:58 PM anyone lightened up these doors at all? removed some interior stucture, are they still strong? and safe? Quote Selected
Re: lambo doors Reply #42 – September 30, 2005, 02:07:04 PM You might be able to replace steel for aluminum bracing, etc. That wouldn't be too cheap, though. Lexan windows? Quote Selected
Re: lambo doors Reply #43 – September 30, 2005, 02:15:38 PM sounds kind pointless unless you were to go fiberglass or something. Plain and simple. Just a waste of your time. Quote Selected
Re: lambo doors Reply #44 – September 30, 2005, 02:55:01 PM Actually, on my ugly 87 all those years ago when I was a penniless teenager, I cut out the inner frames, did the seat-belt window mechanism trick, and removed all of the wiring. They weighed substantionally less. The car was really bad on the NVH though... (gutted interior, cut out everything, open exhaust, etc) Quote Selected
