Shock & strut availability

Did Tbirds & Cougars come with MotorCraft shocks/struts originally or something else? Are they still available and if not what is a good upgrade for a nice comfortable ride?

Not sure if the original struts and shocks are still available.

I do have a set of Monroe rear shocks on the shelf (new in box) if you want to cover shipping and whatever you decide to donate?  '88 TC

I currently have KYB GR-2 in my car.  They feel stiff although not too bad for my taste.  I would guess the ride on these would not be to your liking though.
