Sorry i didnt get the car out, was offered some OT i couldnt turn it down and it was just a nightmare on the roads around here this holiday weekend. My daily was also giving me issues i had to take care of as well.
Just bad timing, ll try again this weekend i have to get it out and get the drivers window fixed anyway.

Success, She works. Gauge went down from under 3/4 full during my drive and while idling in the garage for like an hour playing around with the car in there.

Probably wouldve helped to have a before pic but i left my phone at the garage when i took it out, and had to come back for it. Got back and started ripping the door off to fix that but the gauge reads and moves like its supposed to.

Now the real work begins, making another based on my own posts and info here to see how repeatable it is for the next guy.

So i made another one based on the information i put in this thread.
I used a real nos ford bronco II fuel sender to make it instead of that chinese ebay one i used the first time.

I didnt like how the solder came out since its expired and expensive so i redid it and welded it to the tube instead since i had my handheld stick welder and some 1/16 stainless rods on me. I wish i had this the first time but its holding up.

I accidently blew holes in it trying to dial the welder in since it just has a dial for control and had it a bit too high at first for this thickness metal, it failed my "suck and blow" air test so i tinned it up with solder over the welds(since trying to fix it with the welder just made them worse) and now it passes the test.
Ill see how it looks in the gas tank when i stop back at the garage again.

Edit: that wordfilter is killing me today
