Need some paint ideas for a 4 eye

Looking for some paint ideas for my 85 bird. Going for a non stock approach. Looking to keep it blue but go darker (original plan but open to others) and I'm not sure on whether to paint the window trim body color, black, or keep it as is. Belt line I plan on doing body color as with the headlight buckets.

It all depends on what you're really looking to do.

My dad is all about chrome. Covering any chrome is blasphemy. Personally, I hate chrome.

I go on google, and type in random  like "85 tbird" and "85 thunderbird" and go through the images to see whats floating around for ideas.
It's Gumby's fault.

My vote is for original color.

If you plan on painting the trim and headlight buckets body color, I'd say keep the brightwork (window trim and grille) as they are.

If you're not staying with the factory color my vote would be for the Blue Jeans blue that's available on current Ford trucks.  I think that's a sharp color that would look right at home on one of our cars.  Just my $.02...

Twilight Blue (from the 88 cars) would be darker. I'm not a fan of the modern bright blues on these cars. Someone painted  Fox T-bird grabber blue. While it looks great on a Mustang it looks a bit garish on these cars.

If you do change color make sure the car is jambed. Otherwise it'll look silly when you open the doors/hood/trunk.

I’ve always thought the Tbirds looked great in the darker blues. I agree with the Blue jean color. While the Kona Blue is a great choice as well
On a side note, my all time favorite combo was the Anniversary edition in 1985. The blue/silver was very nice
