1988 TC seat issues Reply #3 – October 17, 2018, 08:58:34 AM I know the brackets are different between the Mustang and Tbird/Cougar. You can take the Mustang seats and just use/find power seat brackets for the Tbird/Cougar, that's what I did for several years. Ran 87/88 Mustang GT seats in my '85 Cougar by just taking the brackets off of my stock seats and installing them on the bottom of the Mustang seats. The Mustang seats and Turbo Coupe seats are nearly identical with varying minor differences to the knee bolster and seat back height depending on the year.
