cheap diy home improvements car parking light 1916 meets 2016

1916 meets up with modern day 2016

an old overhead light from a gas station, 60$
this is a minty antique overhang light called a cream puff, thats what the guy at the flea market said it was.

Lowes sells a spot light solar powered.. for 30$

take the LED assembly out of the housing and keep the solar panel.

repurpose the 240v lamp socket that came with the cream puff light

graft everything together and let it charge up.

My only complaint is that i dont want it to come on unless there is motion.
currently looking for a 6 to 8vdc motion sensor to trigger it to light only when motion is detected.

right now it gives off light till about 2am then dies out.  Pretty happy with it.
