looking for a soldering alternative product, Ultrasonic welder for wiring repair

i am looking for anyones insight into the availability of a "hand held "ultrasonic welder" forthe intended purpose of doing wire splicing.

Welded connections became the standard in automotive appplications for several years now and i want to know if there is a hand held version that allows me to simply clamp around two conductors , sqeeze a trigger and then the machine molds the two copper ends together

Example, in our cars the fuse links are welded connections , and in some other areas i have noticed the same thing.

again, this has to be hand held, and be able to work within a situation where exising wire looms or wirning is in place and the tool comes to the problem area,, i dont want to take the wire loom to the tool.

I figured i would ask what automotive shops are doing to weld small wire connections like 8ga on down to smaller 24 or 26awg.
Are shops still soldering or are you all doing welded connections?

I don't know of any ultra portable (the kind that you could use in the engine bay or under the dash) ultrasonic welding for wire repair.
