The only issues is any value in that Cougar is because it's not being driven. To actually drive the car (even to a cruise night) just lowers the value.

Absolute beauty.    I agree you wouldn't really be able to drive it around.    Makes you wonder how one survived that long with only that many miles.

Go Fast the first time.  The tickets the same.

Whoever owned it didn't drive it... :hick:

Probably bought as a investment then owner realized it wasn't going to be worth any real money in his lifetime...

Or the original owner died. Think about it. That car is almost 30 years old. If the original owner was in their 50's when they bought it then they might be dead by now.

Agreed, I started to mention such in my post but was feelin' lazy... Maybe airs to the fortune sold it...

That car probably sold for more than dealer is now asking($14,900), $17K in '87 is now $36,000...

And why in almost 50 years of vehicle ownership(this Nov) I'm yet to buy a new one...

I've only financed four and still own two of those... A '64 Galaxie, the Cobra Jet, a Granada(ex got it) and a '07 Grand Marquis I bought at one year old & saved $11K cause it wasn't a '08... I made money on the Turbo Coupes I bought and sold... Maybe I should have sold the white one early on, in 19 years of ownership it's no doubt eaten most of the $11K I saved on the Grand Marquis...

Really the only way a brand new car makes sense is if you purchase it and keep it for 10+ years. That's the only way you get your money out of it.

the car is still there, they are taking it by trailer down to Charlston Wv for a show among other cars.

its pretty apparent they dont know exactly what it is they have other than a car that was 1 of 2 sold to this dealer.  it was the 20th and a 94 transam t top.

they are going to find out what production line number it is on the buck tag,, had to point it out to them where its at.
