Use 88 Turbo Coupe intercooler parts to convert an 85?

Question for y'all. Can I use the hood, intercooler, mount and all the hoses / tubes from an 88 on my 85? I'm thinking about converting it. Not sure if the Turbo and / or its location are the same as an 88....

Yes.  You will need to get an SVO compressor housing because the T3 on the nonintercooled cars had the bolt on outlet  and you will need the round outlet.  You also could grind the tabs off or something but the SVO housings are easy enough to get.  You will also need to clock the turbo some as the outlet of the T3 points more toward the engine but it will need to point straight up for the 87-88 intercooler.  This stuff is not at all difficult to do though.  I have an 87 hood and intercooler on my 86 Cougar and it works fine.
