C4 transmission kickdown cable

Morning everyone, I recently swapped from the dying C5 I had, to the old C4 I had on my first tbird.  I was running a carb back then, but am EFI on this one.    The C5 had a bolt area for a bracket, and the C4 lacks it.
I have looked at the Lokar cable, but am completely unsure if it will work for the TB.    Can't really justify throwing near $100 on a maybe.  Anyone done this swap?  Advice would be very much appreciated.

No idea on the Lokar, but you can run a C4 without it.. Most of the '70s Fords just used a hollow rod that attached to carb and trans, no other bracket, cable, etc used...

I use a efi 5.0 and c4 in my off road truck and have never used the kick down. Works just fine for me and in most cases I like that it just stays in current gear when trying to accelerate instead of always shifting gears. I can always grab the shifter to drop a gear if I really need to.  You wont miss it.

My only real concern is possibly pulling it into 1st while trying to pass.  I'll bolt it back up as is, maybe just get a K&B so it's not me having to worry about hitting a bump :p

When pulled in low, just about no stock automatic transmission will shift to 1st over 25-30 mph... Powerglide and other two speed automatics excepted...
