David is right...a drum scanner would be best. I used to operate one, about 15 years ago. Set it up, mark your start and stop points, make sure the lamp(s) are working, hit the button, and take a nap for the next 45 minutes.
We did. Supervisor gave not one shiznit, provided someone woke you up when it was done, so you could start the next scan. No, I'm not kidding. I got paid 14 bucks an hour (in 2001, mind you) to tape pictures to a clear drum, hit a button, and sleep half an hour, 40, 45 minutes at a time.
