Congrats. And yes, time flies fast. The Sport turns 26 on the 16th of this month. I've only had it for 5 or 6 years. If I hadn't found her at the boneyard, the Sport would be a recycled mess. Funny how we get attached like we do to these cars.

Thanks for all the nice comments...  I know it's old school with wire wheel covers and mud flaps (not everyone's cup of tea) but every time I considered a mod, I just decided to let it as it came from the factory. Guess I figured Ford got this one right.  I love cars with tasteful mods and resto-mods so don't get me wrong, I'm not an old stick in the mud! :hick:

Oh yea, and it was my family car w/ 2 car seats and daily driver and now shows 131,000+ miles so with care and attention cars can be kept looking good. Not exactly parked in the living room but it has had a pretty good life in the garage. :hick:  Still wears original paint, interior and even wire wheel covers! :giggle:

I kind of like this color combo too.

Glad to be part of this crazy group that enjoys the Tbirds and Cougars!

Wow...that's some love affair.  Here's a picture taken in 1988 of our new XR7.  Eventually sold it but purchased its clone last year.

Its a super neat original car....but I would rock a nice set of wheels(14" wheels have no business IMHO on fox tbird/cougars)....nothin too flashy but something classy...for such a nice survivor.

I have a spare set of Thunderbird TRX wheels with no curb rash, not looking for big $$ if you want for the Bird, would give a very correct and different look........tires are mucho expensive though.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I have the original set from my TC, don't even want to think about buying 2 sets of tires. :grinno:
