Transmission issues

So ever since I got my car about 3 years ago, I heard a rattle which I think I have identified to be my throwout bearing. When I tap on the clutch or push it all the way down the rattle goes away completely. Over the years the rattle has gotten significantly worse. It's much louder and faster. Along with that issue, I find it hard to shift sometimes. Sometimes it's hard to go into first, and it always grinds into reverse, so I'll go from first to reverse to avoid the grind. When doing this it hangs up about 3 times and won't go into the reverse gear. Also, when I shift into any gear, almost 90% of the time there's a grab just before it goes fully into a gear. Ideas?

Your clutch is not releasing properly. The rattle is common on a full contact throw out bearing design. The Hydraulic clutch in the TC has to be bled properly and most likely you fork clips are missing. This is very common other than the hard shifting issue. Best bet is to replace both the slave and clutch  master and bleed correctly. Hope this helps!!

I think it is a release issue. If the hydraulics check out the clutch is shot. Good Luck!!
