Been busy!

Hey Guys!
Some of you might remember my numerous posts going though my 86 Cougar, then I sort of disappeared. Well, I bought a house two hours from here out in the country in a small town by my relatives. This house has an addition, a garage that will hold between 6-8 cars. It is as big as the rest of the house (lol). I got to the point working on my car that I needed a lift, and a hoist that I do not have. As some of you remember, you helped me out with rebuilding the chassis and some electrical problems. After eight months of all that, I got a hold of a friend of mine and hired him to replace my 202,000 miles old 5.0 150HP engine with a "86" 5.0 H/O 200hp "Jasper" engine with a (RV?) cam. I also had my AOD transmission rebuilt with a shift kit and new stall converter. I am also having a electric fan put on my new aluminum radiator. The transmission line that I butchered up are also being replace with braided lines to resolve that problem. I should be getting my car back next week. Last week I also bought a 1971 Ford LTD convertible with a 351 Cleveland off my girl friend's sister, so now I have yet another project.

hwy73,
I have to wait until she gets her other car's oil leak fixed (hopefully this weekend) so she will not be stranded. I'm hoping I will get it this next week. Then I will shoot some pictures. The LTD is Not a boat...it is a cross between a yacht and a tank! You need to start turning about half a block before you reach your turn. It also weights about 4300 lbs.. You could buy them with a 289 up to a 429 BB when they were new. This one needs a complete restoration.

Here is a picture of half my garage. I'm standing right about in the middle of it.

Thunderbird,
Yep, the owner had put up some wood paneling over the dry wall (??) don't ask me why. Some of it is coming loose. As you can see, it needs a window as well. The rest of the house has new double pain windows throughout. If you go to small towns and look you will find some really great deals right now, but the market is starting to pick up. They did everything but give this house to me. Total square feet is about 2,700 including the garage (they could not include the garage in the figures because it is an addition). I probably could have picked up a new base Silverado pickup for what I paid for it... (go figure).

Can't expect getting something perfect for that kind of money! It's crazy! For that money you're lucky if you can find an old rotten barn in Sweden...
