Sons first day of having licinse Reply #16 – March 21, 2012, 11:07:12 AM That was a beautiful car. There is no way in hell I would let either of my boys drive something that nice, without having some time under their "seat" belt. My daughter fender bended my Cougar when she was just learing to drive. Its just part of the learning curve.Im glad no one was injured. Quote Selected

Sons first day of having licinse Reply #19 – March 21, 2012, 12:18:57 PM yea, i'm still debating if i want to fix it or just get another clean shell and transfer stuff from this one over?????? My brother-in-law has already found another one for $800 with a wore out motor, don't know if it is a sport or not, i may just have to go take a look see!! The wrecked one will need straightened, new k member, fender, front nose, new h-pipe(bent pass. side back), new windsheild just what i can see so far. And they never seem the same after being wrecked so I just don't know yet. Quote Selected

Sons first day of having licinse Reply #22 – March 21, 2012, 12:48:06 PM Sorry to hear about your Bird. It was beautiful! I'm glad you son wasn't hurt. And I probably would have reacted the same as you, seeing he was so upset about it. Now had he had a different attitude about it then things would be different. With you being able to do the work yourself it might be cheaper to get the other Bird and change everything over to it. Plus it'll give you and your son more time together to rebuild it. Sons first day of having licinse Reply #24 – March 21, 2012, 02:34:33 PM . :(Thankfully the junior wasn't hurt, aside from pride.Hopefully this will stay in his mind in the future. It can be saved..hell, Jerry built an entire Cougar out of 10 pounds of rust, a few sticks of weldin' rod, and 11 dollars' worth of electricity, lol Quote Selected
Sons first day of having licinse Reply #25 – March 21, 2012, 09:36:22 PM Glad the son is ok! That was indeed a gorgeous car! I hit rolled my dad's truck when I was in high school, I literally felt like about it for months! It really bites when family members destroy our birds. My wife put one of mine out of commission a couple of months ago... :( It was no near as bad as yours though! Quote Selected

Sons first day of having licinse Reply #29 – March 22, 2012, 05:18:36 AM Got in there and looked hard yesterday evening and i think she is done....floor board is shoved in a few inches, console is twisted back about an inch, steering column is pushed to the right about 3/4"(from him bracing), pass door is about .5" back. I just think i'm going to look for another clean one and start swaping things over.........I couldn't look at it long, had to cover her back up! Quote Selected
