Rebirth Reply #46 – January 31, 2012, 02:02:09 PM Looking good. Is the molding going back on the car? Quote Selected
Rebirth Reply #47 – January 31, 2012, 04:11:57 PM Paul, I can't find any on the drivers side trim... Did I already send it to you another time? got all the pass side trim though.. Quote Selected
Rebirth Reply #48 – February 02, 2012, 11:30:07 PM Those were one of the few things that I had decided to use over again due to the fact that they were clean.....Picked away a little more today. All the trim is on save for those 2 pieces. Now I get to play with the keyless entry. Eric spoke of cutting before....The new keyless entry REQUIRES it and I am NOT re-using the old one. This new one I have goes with the car much better.Got the car running agin too. Buddy of mine had an ignition module and distributor that were only run for a couple of hundred miles....Swapped the old coil out and put the new one on. Instant start up!Bad news....Can't find my door sill plates. They are in one of 2 places that are not where the car is. Time to start looking.Almost forgot -- Lou, the moulding is going back on. Black needs something to break it up a bit IMO. Quote Selected

Rebirth Reply #53 – February 04, 2012, 01:10:54 PM Quote from: V8Demon;378621Don't rightly know.....Was in there when I bought the car. It's one of the few things in the drivetrain I've left alone. Tranny had 98 miles on it when I bought the car. The transmission case is an '89 with the updated tailshaft with the 8 tooth gear. I have the paperwork somewhere. It was listed on there. There are a few companies that still carry them. Average price is about $150.BTW -- This car is actually an LS with preferred equipment package 163a from the factory. THis car left the factory with just about every option imagineable including the 10 inch rear drums. Funny thing is that it is a consolette car and was sold with the 14 inch wire wheels..... How do you know the equipment package number? I was reading on CoolCats about the build sheet under the passenger seat. Is that where you find it and is that the only way? Also, I have a hunch I will feel like an idiot after I hear the answer, but what do you mean by a consolette car? Quote Selected
Rebirth Reply #54 – February 04, 2012, 02:13:43 PM A consolette car doesn't have a console. It has the small "short" console connected to the driver seat with the padded armrest. Quote Selected
Rebirth Reply #55 – February 05, 2012, 11:34:19 AM My build sheet was unreadable by the time I found it. I could make out SOME.stuff on it. You can figure out your package by deduction for the.most part. Quote Selected

Also, I originally didn't find the list of options and packages on the CoolCats site but I just went back and looked again. I also have the 163a. Good to know. Quote Selected
