Thanks 88 :D You're not the only weird on here, I've enjoyed my ALONE time with my car  with all the hand sanding. Sometimes it feels like I've sanded all my finger prints off :hick:

I'll have to head out their in the spring when it's done. I'm putting the T-bird away in a few weeks but I'll have to get out by you with it. You haven't seen it since the aluminum head swap and trans upgrade. Plus maybe your T-bird will be moving under it's own power :).

Uhhh....... unless I find the goose that lays the golden eggs, It will probably run but not road-legal.

Here's a pic of the body all wiped down after it's 2000/2500/3000 grit massages :D

Did you add any extra metal flake to the paint? I've noticed a lot of the factory Ford paint lately tends to have a large amount of metal flake in it.

LOL, I'd love to do both cars as I really want to get into restorations rather than insurance work. Beast50 did ask first though.... Yours would present a bit of a challenge in getting it here.

Yes Lou, I added a PPG Micro Sequin Flakes DX86 to the Blue. You are partially correct in that some of the Ford paint looks like it has larger flakes. Some of it is a course aluminum flake and some is a Mica. The Kona Blue has 2 toners to give it the "Metallic" look, a powder mica and a blue pearl. Loved the color, just not enough twinkle.
