86 Turbo Tbird IAC TPS CTS HARNESS Questions/Issue

Well, I thought my idle issue in my black 86 TC was the IAC, but after I installed a new one, I'm still getting that same erratic idle problem. I tried to compare it to my harness on my 87, but they dont look the same. Seems that the IAC is directly in the harness, and there is only one plug coming out of the harness, not two like in my 86.

So I stripped down the IAC harness THAT THE LAST GUY JIMMY'd up. Is this correct? Is there something soldered to a wrong wire?


Also what I thought was curious is the car wouldnt start when I pulled the connector off the Coolant Temp Sensor that is between the 2 and 3 injector on the lower intake.

It looks correct, best I can tell from studying the 86 EVTM.
The IAC connector has been replaced with one having two red wires.
Take the tape off the wire splices and see if they are soldered splices.
Is splice S 155 soldered?

In the last diagram it shows a idle speed actuator. Where is that exactly?

It's what most people call the IAC (Idle Air Control)
In the 87 EVTM they call it: "Throttle Air Bypass Valve Solenoid"
In the 87 EVTM it does show that they did away with connectors C144 and C145 and made it all part of the main harness.
