You are right...crinkle finish wouldn't look right...you've nailed it dead on with that setup..very nice. :)

Maybe this summer or early fall I'll have a little free time I can use to take my Sport for a trip...would be nice to swing by for a bit and see your one of none FPV power in person lol

Thanks beau. It would be cool if there was a central location where a few of us could meet up, like Oklahoma City, or something. Perhaps one day. I'm going to be doing some minor stuff on the Sport over the next couple of months. Mustang booster and master cylinder, new axle shaft on the passenger side along with bearings and seals, re-cover the seats, and a couple of other things. For now, I'll be cleaning the engine and making sure it looks good and is in top form for the Texas Motor Speedway event in May.

That is definetly one of a kind and I love it! I want to make my Cougar one off for sure. The only thing I will not have is a Ford logo. I want it only to have Cougar emblems on it. I will allow "Mercury" on the decklid. I just bought a set of Chrome Cobra R's and tomorrow will be getting decals for the center caps. I've started the 5 lug swap but am in need of front hub assemblies and brakes. I'll have my Cougar in the Father's day show in Salina, KS. A drive for you, but I would love to meet up somewhere. I plan on going to Ark City to hang with Graham sometime.

Thanks a lot guys. I'm going to be doing some real cleaning in a week. Lot's of cleaning, and doing some visual measuring for a "project" coming up pretty soon. I've got a battery project for the Sport planned. No, nobody will be able to guess, but pics when I'm done. Then, EVERYONE will want to do it......really. I have a few things planned, but the funds are depleted for now, so, in time.

Thanks a lot Eric. I still have a few cs under the hood to do to clean it up visually a little bit. I'm waiting to install the new a/c compressor and be done with that. Then polishing, moving a few wires (not moving them all, just a few), and a few other things. The battery idea is the big c I am excited about. More when it happens.

Nope. I promise, nobody can guess it. If someone thinks they can (I'll be honest), I'll send them $5.00.

Interesting that you went the FPV badges :P

FPV only came about in Australia after we inherited the Modular 5.4 motor, Prior to this the little windsor was tickled by 'Tickford' :D

still... the covers look neat

Yeah, I know they weren't on the 5.0's, but, FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) seemed a fitting badge, and, nobody I know around here knows what they mean until I explain it (only if they ask). It also has a very factory feel to it, and that's what I like. I received my first few new FPV emblems from a friend who worked as a body guy at a Ford dealership in Australia. He'd hook me up every few months with something new. Awesome guy. I kept them for years until I decided what to do with them. Most of them were quite some time before I even found the Sport. I have to be very careful, I don't want those emblems everywhere. Only as I have them now.
