I finally finished my new valve covers......

I got a set of Ford Racing finned aluminum valve covers. Due to having no time to do anything lately, I found myself with a free day today, so, I spent some time "erasing" the "Ford" and "Racing" lettering and replacing them with the FPV logo and FPV script. I like them a lot and they'll match up great with my "FPV GT-40" intake. Here's the pics..........

After I erased the lettering....

After I added the Australian FPV logo and script.......

Hey, I suppose they do. I am taking a day off tomorrow and plan on installing them. Pics to follow. The new pics will be be in the "Show your engine" thread. Jerry, do they look alright, or not really. Be honest. What I see may not be what others see. I tried though.

Now I have to find a new oil cap. The one I want is $52.00.....which is $30.00 more than I want to spend.

IMHO I think they need some crinkle black paint and polished fins.

X2. Looks great, can't wait to see the finished product.
Are they some sort of stick-on deal..?

They look like any plastic chrome emlem you would see on a decklid or tailgate.

Looks sweet vinnie. Honestly it looks completely factory. Excuse my absence for so long, what does FPV stand for? I know those are Ford's Australian parts.

I did these because I like to make the Sport a little unique, but I try very hard not to go overboard. The black crinkle finish wouldn't match anything under the hood on my engine. When the valve covers are installed, you'll see how they "fit".

FPV is from Ford of Australia. It means Ford Performance vehicles.

I have to follow my own path when I work on the Sport. So far, my ideas have seemed to work well for what I am wanting in it's appearance.....which is my own opinion. Not over done, just right. I always enjoy opening the hood and hearing someone say "Whoa !!!". Nobody ever expects it. These covers will pass the message well.

For those who forgot, or haven't seen it, My current intake is now polished and silver.....like the valve covers. Here's the intake they are to match up with.........

They would go with Jerry's as well, but, The Sport gets them, and Kitz gets my current covers. I had this drawn up on paper about a year ago, kind of let the idea go, then decided a few months ago that was the direction I wanted to go, so, the GT-40 intake and valve covers are the start. I have a couple of smaller details to finish up the "theme", then off to other things.
