pcv valve

where is the pcv valve for a 2.3 1986 xr7 turbo. some people are telling me there is none.what is the correct info.

The PCV valve will be in the large vacuum line that runs for the underside of the upper intake down to the oblong oil seperator canister that's under the lower intake. It runs pretty close to the distributor, so look just behind there and you should see the PVC valve.
88 TC 5speed, 168000+ miles, stock 2.3T long block, ported RFE6 exhaust, Evergreen T3 running 15#'s.

Only get a PCV valve from Ford (P/N EV127A).  Don't get a POS one from the parts store.

When you get one, open it, and blow as hard as you can in the small end of it.  If ANY air comes out the other end, hand it back to them, and tell them you would like another.  NOTHING is supposed to pass through it under boost.

As mentioned, the PCV valve is in the hose behind the alternator, very near the distributor.

What those guys said.  I also put a one way check valve ahead of the PCV valve.  Got it at the junkyard in the import section in a brake booster line.  Mazda I believe.
