Scored an almost mint set of doors, a few more 'maro ducktails one in which has the 3rd brake light, and I scored a t5 for the gray bird.

Its on.

I'm feeling motivated myself. Swapping the trans fluid for some Royal Purple today. Dear Lord, $46 for three quarts. Hope it's as good as they say.

Get out there and get your car done. Make some real progress, then get back here and brag about it !!! Maybe I can do the same soon.

yessir, all Ive got to pick up now is the pressure plate bolts and a probe pilot bearing. t5 is from a 2.3 but for no more than its gonna do it will work. Ive got a spare trunklid around thats all beat up and has a spoiler on it already, Im going to use that one to put the 'maro fin on and Im doing this one differently though. This one with the 3rd brake light is alot thicker. So its going to be a lil bit different but its going to look great.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Well it truly was a toss up, i had the opportunity to buy a couple aod's but the price wasnt in my range. An.d with as much as ive been working lately i was unsure about locating all the odds and ends because its awful rare around here to find a 5speed fox in a bone yard and if there was they were either picked clean or autos. John (1BadBird) hooked me up with the pedals, bellhousing, clutch, flywheel and all the pretty indescrepable parts. Ive had a pile of interior parts that finished up the rest of the little stuff. But then i was in lieu of a tranny. Well i got ahold of one of the guys that works at a yard that i frequently go to and (they used to run ministock mustangs) and asked him if they still had any laying around. He regrettably said no but had a guy about 2 towns over that did. Well longer story made shorter... i head over to the address i was given and was told to look for the maverick. I was thinking a pos junkyard dog. Oh no. 72 grabber all restored beautiful car really. Talked to the guy for about an hour or so and he asked me if i needed anything else. I said no not really, as he loaded another clutch, 2 flywheels a v8 bellhousing and a few other misc parts into the bed of my truck. With the kind words of i dont need this stuff anymore you will find a use for it im sure and left me at that. Real cool fella.
