just because his is a royal turd doesn't mean they all are.. my xr7 was a giant heap of buttstuff cream, that doesn't means yours is.. catch my drift? lol

I have alot of old ads from the 80's as well. I love that ad with Bill Elliott that came out after he broke the Nascar speed record. Over 212 MPH. I think that record still stands. Of course Nascar restricts power for safety now. Or do they just need a Thunderbird to go that fast?!:burnout:

This ad is pretty cool. But I STILL don't understand why Ford would promote this as such a sporty vehicle when it has an SO.

Because in 87/88 150 HP was on the high side for an American car  :)

x2, in 1988 155 hp was considered decent!  And compared to a 305 Monte Carlo/Grand Prix/Regal, our 5.0 cars were high performance, lol.
'88 'bird, 10.9:1 306 w/TFS top end, forged rods/pistons, T-5 swap & bunch of other stuff, 1-family owned, had it since ‘98, 5.0tbrd88 on Instagram and YouTube
