I got my callback from hagerty already, they require the car to be parked in a secure garage. So I guess if it's not in the garage and gets stolen from my driveway I'm not covered? They only require a picture of the car in the garage that it will be kept in. I also read that the car cannot be used for going to the store etc.. So if it gets stolen from a parking lot that isn't part of some car event or show than I guess I'm not covered there either. I'm going to call them back tomorrow and see if I can figure this out.

I wonder if I'm better of keeping my current insurance and just install a good 2-way alarm and a series of kill switches throughout the car.

i don't recall anything about not being covered if my car gets stolen from a lot that's not holding some sort of event

but i would ask your insurance company if they have some sort of specialty car coverage
