I asked the "what upgrades" question through PM and here is the response I recieved:

The upgrades consist mostly of huge banners.  After I bought my new snowmobile with excess upgrade funds, I figured I could make a few extra dollars (Canadian) selling advertising to those big exhaust tip folks.

I will also be charging members to upload photos, use smilies, and the search function.  I haven't decided the fees yet, but I was thinking $5/use or $150 per year flat rate.

Oh, and I will finally get rid of those  banners at the top and replace them with google ads.  I waiting to hear back from an advertising firm about those double underlined text "links" that pop up the huge window with sound announcing "Congratulations, Your the winner!"  but I still haven't heard back yet.  I cannot believe I have been letting people freeload off me for so long.

My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.
