That white bird is obviously totalled, but a lot of the other cars probably ended up there because their owners whouldn't spend what amounts to less that a couple months' car payments on repairs. 13 Fox bodies at the salvage yard today! (56k warning) Reply #22 – October 15, 2010, 09:59:50 AM Yeah, they are up like that so parts are more accessible and safer to get to. The paint on nearly all the car is shot. The desert sun just kills it, especially if the cars were neglected. All the dashes are cracked in one place or another. There was one completely uncracked dash last time I was there but it is gone. There is a bunch of good tail lights though and the headlights on the 87-88 Cougar are pretty nice.It is a shame that all these good cars are there but like Vinnie said, at least they are available to get parts from. 13 Fox bodies at the salvage yard today! (56k warning) Reply #29 – October 15, 2010, 11:29:21 AM I've said it before, and I'm saying it now: I wish had the means to buy up every Fox Tbird and Cougar I could find....surely 190 acres would hold a few. Only when the bare shells and broken, unwanted parts were left would they get to leave.Oh, to be independently wealthy...:DThe TC I got my hood, rear and other assorted pieces from...I wish I could've bought the whole car. When I first saw it, all that had been taken was the dash, and the headliner was ruined. Quote Selected
