A/C Removal on 1983 Thunderbird

I was wondering how hard it would be to remove the Air Conditioning compressor, condenser and acspoogeulator. I plan to at least remove the compressor's belt but want to know if I can remove it entirely. i believe that the system has been converted to R-13 but obviously has a substantial leak and seeing as I made it through my first summer with the 'Bird without A/C I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do it again.

No more difficult than changing an alternator.

It's not hard at all. I removed all that stuff on my 86 Cougar (along with the heater box and the AC/Heat control) but AC systems are actually pretty easy to repair, so personally I would get some UV dye refrigerant and find the leak and repair it.
