The CP autox bird Reply #301 – September 19, 2012, 09:54:10 PM Well, I couldnt help myself. Found a whole bunch of 16" Bogart RT 3 peice wheel parts(almost enough to make 11 wheels of varying sizes) for not alot of money. Going to go pick them up this weekend and then I have the option of going to full race slicks Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #302 – November 21, 2012, 06:57:58 PM Ok, been stockpiling parts again. Got alot of plans for this winter! Got the wheels almost done, just need to get all new bolts to bolt them together. Fronts are 16x11 1/2" and rears are 16x12. Also need to buy new tires since I can't seem to find any used ones.Definately going to need fender modification:( Those tires are some 345/35/18's that dad bought for some reason, lol. Don't have any rims at all that they will fit on.Stainless sch 10 1.5" weld elsall of that is to be able to put this on!Hoping for closer to 400 whp next year. This year it only made 306whp/351wtq. The CP autox bird Reply #306 – November 28, 2012, 04:08:13 AM Good looking hair dryer. Ought to be a very efficient turbo on your combo. Good choice. I love the oil tank. Fits in there nicely. It's gonna be interesting seeing how you get those big ole' tires under there! The rims are very cool. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #308 – February 12, 2013, 10:25:35 PM Well, finally can work on this car again after getting my cougar done. Started on the header for the EFR tonight. Got two tubes tacked ready for welding. I will take each tube out and weld them with back purging for a good weld inside and out. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #310 – February 14, 2013, 11:30:36 PM That looks awesome. After seeing this and looking at Darrens custom exhaust I may take a crack at building mine, from the headers back anyway. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #312 – February 22, 2013, 06:49:23 PM Header sandblasted with the turbo bolted up. Got lines and fittings today to do the oil and water lines, so I will be doing that this weekend after fixing the leaking gas tank in my cougar.I wonder how often the engineer that did that wastegate passage gets bitched at by people putting these turbo's on? The CP autox bird Reply #314 – February 27, 2013, 11:01:10 PM I figured 2 years of using a 20oz pop bottle for a radiator overflow was pushing it and I finally got something else made. This is the peice of crown vic driveshaft I cut off to fit in my bird. Also got all the turbo water cooling lines, and oil drain line finished, ready to put in the car. Going to freshen the engine before the season starts. Going another .010 bigger to get rid of the 4 .002 deep gouges in cylinder #3.And the first Aero peices for the year. Still have to finish the splitter. Quote Selected
