The CP autox bird Reply #240 – June 05, 2011, 09:49:02 PM usually when you loose the distributor gear, you loose the aux shaft too. I have a spare aux shaft, and will try to find a NEW gear, bronze or otherwise. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #241 – June 06, 2011, 02:52:40 AM That sucks. Have fun getting all the shrapnel out of the oiling system. That s gets around FAST. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #243 – June 07, 2011, 05:30:55 PM well thats alot worse than mine is. My gear is only half gone on the distributor. one side is perfect, the other side is gone, hence why I think its my own doing. Same on the countershaft. Hopefully I will get it all apart tonight and see if the oil pump driveshaft is bent too, or what. Also check the bearings while I'm at it and change the rear main(since I couldnt get the pan out without pulling the trans and flywheel-its leaking anyway) Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #244 – June 07, 2011, 10:34:04 PM mine happened because I used a new dist, and an old aux shaft. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #245 – June 08, 2011, 09:47:49 AM Awesome build, with some great fabrication man!Sorry if i may have missed, but what size rims and offset did you end up running? I know you planned on stretchin the fenders, but i didnt see any pics of it, looks like you just rolled them?? Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #246 – June 08, 2011, 05:36:52 PM Wheels are 18x10 with +20 offset I believe. I couldnt get anybody to widen them, so I just rolled the fenders. I can still get a 315 on the wheels, but only on the rear. No clearance on the coilovers in the front with any wider than 295's.Engine is getting new bearings tossed in it for now while I start building another engine-just a little ahead of schedule. The CP autox bird Reply #247 – June 11, 2011, 07:33:34 PM It lives again! Although my plans for a new engine have been moved up in the schedule. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #248 – June 11, 2011, 08:27:58 PM You may have already mentioned this, but what new powerplant do you have planned/scheduled? Keep up the good work, the car is awesome. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #249 – June 11, 2011, 10:15:43 PM another 2.3 or a 2.5. Gotta weigh my options though. Either of them will have good rods and pistons(crower rods,cp pistons) and maybe a set of honda oil squirters. Did them on the engine in my red tbird and wasnt too hard. I do know it will get a melling m127 oil pump. Quote Selected

The CP autox bird Reply #253 – June 16, 2011, 10:41:14 PM just happened across these pictures. Don't know who took them, but there are some good shots of my car in there. I ended up winning my class - results at the endRest of pictureshttp://www.flickr.com/search/?q=nworscca#page=0resultshttp://nworscca.com/attachments/results/2011/2011_e3_results.htmindexhttp://nworscca.com/attachments/results/2011/2011_e3_index.htmI just wish I knew how my dad ended up turning 2 seconds faster than I did - I think its mostly because he ran 3rd heat and I ran 1st heat(was hoping to be out of first heat going to this class:doh:) Quote Selected
