Yeah, that was a major PITA.  Getting it stretched over that with glue on the dash and the fabric, it kept sticking to itself and in the wrong places on the dash.  Hopefully it stays on there a while.  Its already started lifting in a few places.  If it wont stick back down, I'll have to take a syringe and put some more glue behind it and get it back down.

Well got my first test with the electrical system.  Most of the stuff works, but I did get the ignition wire on the wrong wire off the ignition switch.  Took me a while to figure that one out, and the windshield wipers dont work(dont know if theres some module that has to run through or what to do intermittent and stuff-gonna check on that tomorrow), and the headlights are doing wierd stuff.  Low beams are crossing into the high beams.  Tried cleaning the grounds but didnt help.

IT RUNS, but still needs another wire to the coil to give it 12V while cranking.  Ended up hotwiring it to the alt to see if thats all it needed.  Sadly though, this thing already starts better than my Burgundy car  but only with the spout out.  As soon as I put the spout in, it died.  Gonna take me a while to get it figured out since this MS2 is somewhat different than my MS1

Great to hear!  Kind of interesting that the two major (and dramtically different) projects on the board both fired up the first time on the same day!

I would kill to have your workspace.  I'ts running a MS2?  I've been thinking of putting one together to run my girlfriends 84 rabbit. Its got mechanical FI now thats a beast to get running perfect.

Would it have killed you to goose it just once?

My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.

its a little hard to get a good goose on it.  Sometimes likes to belch a fireball, lol.  I have done no tuning to it at all yet.  Trying to get it done enough to get it over to the lift to do the exhaust so I can get the wideband on it.

I did get it down on the ground today!

I think I need to raise the rear up a little bit because when I let it down, the jack got stuck under the subframe connector.  I love the height though other than that little problem.

Needs more wheel spacers then.  Already have 1/2" spacers on the front.  One side sort of clears but the other side didnt.  I'll see If I can get a set thats premade tonight.  Probably another 1/4" will do.  Pass side has a bunch more camber than the drivers so I can mess with the camber bolts some too to get clearance.

what does your front LCA geometry look like being that low(since I dont remember you redrilling the kmember)? I forget how much spring you are running too....

edit
went back and checked. 750lb coilovers.....geometry might not matter too much if the front arms arent moving :hick:
