I've also been thinking the unthinkable.

I think there is alot more at play here then just being sick of the car. I have read many threads, going back years on multiple forums by cougar5.0. This is not a 5 minute thing for him. It is difficult for him to even work on his car. Just not sure everyone understands this.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Keep the T-bucket.  FWIW -- the following car's been on the market for a while.  I'm sure you can get him to budge on the price at this point.  The car is immaculate.

I too would love to have a 2011 Mustang.....but I'm not selling off my fleet of Fox T-Birds that I have put so much time into.

I think alot lately about how I am messing with 23-27 year old cars and then I see other people with new cars having fun. What I don't see is them writing out those big checks every month...something I have no desire to do.

So, for now I'll just keep working on my antiques.....:D

When I think about how much I have spent on new cars I could have had one hell of a fleet of my favorite Fox body cars!
