......hmmmm, yeah......

...so, the mysterious popping/thumping sounds coming from my front end actually had in fact nothing at all to do with ball joints.

Actually, its due entirely to...




....wait for it....


...a broken DS motor mount.:rolleyes:

Which, explains why I only heard it when I put enough power to the car to get it to lift up, therefore torquing the motor enough to lift it, and why I couldn't hear it if I lifted the car manually.:hick:

My DS mount broke at 87,000 miles. It's because of the massive power of the 3.8, not the fact that it's a py mount design or anything ;).
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

thats what I keep trying to explain to people. I mean, that would certainly explain why they ALL always inevitably break....

My 3.8 is so strong it will spin it's tires all day long....................on ice.

well in a couple months she'll be gettin a few extra ponies. via +0.4L bolt on kit.;)
