I got a forward map light console from a Lincoln Continental and it even has a flip down visor to cover the area above the rear view mirror.

Got any pics??? I'd like to see that. I have seen one guy put an overhead console from an explorer into a stang and it was nice. I also like the escort ones with the clock and lights. Perfect if you have a mustang with a console delete.

If you are asking about mine I do not have it installed yet. The headliner is out and will be replaced later after the exterior paintwork is done.

Well I got the drivers one basically done. All I have to do is glue a small section on and get the top window run channel thing on which I dont have. I had a pic of it but the camera is MIA right now so i'll post it up when I get it.

Heres a pic of the mostly finished door panel what do you guys think. I know it doesnt look like much cause it still looks like a tbird door panel but it was actually kinda hard and very time consuming (I think I have about 6 hours into this panel alone).

EDIT: On the top right corner you can see where its all wrinkled thats cause i hadnt glued it on yet.

It looks really great man! Keep up the good work!

I also want to say it should be really easy to relocate the interior door handles using Tbird hardware if necessary. The interior door handles bolt on to what is essentially a flat sheetmetal surface with slots on one end to retain the handle mechannism on one side and a single bolt to retain it on the forward end.

You have created a more quality upscale look as opposed to the more simplified Mustang designs of that era that essentially looked like they were recycling Pinto/Maverick basics.

Did somebody mention Explorer overhead console?

It's out of a '94. If you get one, be sure to get the outside temperature sensor mounted on the rad support, too.

Thanks guys!!! Yeah thats what I wanted to go for in this was although I like the stock mustang interiors I wanted something that was 500% better looking. As for the door handle im pretty sure it'll be easy as the inside of the doors are roughly the same width but unfortunately i thought of this idea after i sold the doors from the donor car so i didnt get the handles or light harness.

I took the under dash lights from the 87 stang convertible dash I had and found out they fit right in the holes for the DP light. I hooked it up to the battery on my LX and took a pic just to kinda show that im making EVERYTHING work. Now I just need inner door handle (anyone wanna donate some lol).

Dude if I by chance get to the salavge yard in the next two days I might be able to snag those inside door handles for ya. Any other parts you need to go with it? Like lock and actuator rods? Or can you make the ones you have work?
