Exhaust mods

New exhaust mods and hopefully pics to follow:
Jba coated shorties(used but in good condition)
2 1/2" Upr x pipe (used)
2 new bosch 18" o2 sensors
2 new 2 1/2" borla xs lers
2 new flow tubes(ler to x)
2 mandrel bent tail pipes and dumps

Installation time was about what was expected. The x pipe sits a little low and the tail pipe is close to the tank on the right side. The headers and x pipe cleared the column shift linkage without mods.
The initial driveway install had to be refit at a ler shop. One of the flow tube s was bottoming out on highway dips. The tail pipes were also replaced with ones that fit the car better out back. This was also expected when mixing and matching parts. Overall, I am extremely happy with the sound and fit. The Borlas are noticeable on cold start up and wake up good on accel. Normal warm idle and steady cruise is quieter than expected with a deep mellow tone. Thanks to Michael P. for the help :D

10-4.
I'll try to borrow a vid cam. It may sound tame at idle but it opens up some on hard accel. The car won't draw much attention if you get out of the throttle quick or stay at a steady cruise.

Nice headers.I have the BBKs.What's next on the list of things to do?I'm trying to get a set of 1.7 roller rockers before the engine goes into the Sport.

The roller rockers might free up horses with less friction and more lift. A good choice for the e cam

The cobra rims were going back on but the rim is rubbing the strut a little in the front. 17x9's. I can see rub marks on the strut tube from the rim and on the upper plastic cover from the tire. I may have to slot the strut some and get some camber/caster plates. Maybe some turbo coupe knuckles/rotors with new bearings might help. It sounded alot worse than it looked and was tempted to run them till it wore a little groove. :dunno: A friend gave me some spacers which may be worth a try. The backspacing wasn't measured before the tires were mounted. It may have to do with the rims belonging on a fox lower control arm set up.

Maybe some 2mm spacers would fix the tire rubbing issue. They can be had for a fair price.

The 1.7 roller rockers won't see the E-cam.They will be in the new engine that has the Trick Flow Stage 1 cam.I got a set coming to me as we speak.Did a little trading and got a complete set (Crane/Ford Cobra rockers, fasteners, and spacers). They should be a welcome addition to the new engine.I have an offer for my current engine, and the price was right,so,I'll be swapping them out soon I hope.In the next week or so.
