turbocoupe idle Reply #4 – March 14, 2010, 09:59:49 PM this is off my problem but why is it that the tc wont build boost siting still with spout in but with it out it builds 5psi+ siting still Quote Selected
turbocoupe idle Reply #5 – March 14, 2010, 10:34:34 PM it shouldn't build any boost just at idle. it woill start building boost at 2500 rpm as you drive. Then if your boost controller is bad or you don't have one you will only make 5 psi no matter how hard you drive it. Quote Selected
turbocoupe idle Reply #6 – March 14, 2010, 10:36:57 PM sorry i meant reving it while siting still Quote Selected
turbocoupe idle Reply #7 – March 14, 2010, 10:43:04 PM With your IAC unplugged it should idle about 800-900. You shouldn't be building anyboost while sitting still. It should only be building boost when the engine is under a load.It would make diagnosing your idle issue easier if we knew more details. Have you done a tune-up (plugs, rotor, cap, wires, fuel/air filter). Have you pulled codes (you can pull codes with a paper clip and the CHL), have you checked the volts at the tps, have you set the base idle? Quote Selected
turbocoupe idle Reply #8 – March 14, 2010, 10:45:44 PM so the iac is bad when the car dies as soon as i unplug it and that could explain all my other problems Quote Selected

turbocoupe idle Reply #11 – March 15, 2010, 12:44:48 AM You will build boost with the spout out because the timing is way retarded then.My car doesnt stall when I unplug the IAC. It does when I unplug the TPS though.Make sure theres no vac leaks. Quote Selected
