Reply #1 – April 19, 2005, 09:10:25 PM you should be able to clear it, I had no problems, but some people had problems with the a/c bracket hitting the bottom of the scoop, but if that is an issue, you should be able to grind it down a little to where it won't hit. Re: TC hood ona 5.0 bird? Reply #2 – April 19, 2005, 11:11:34 PM The hood should have no clearence problems at all. Dissasemble the stuff on the under side of the TC hood. Then seal the holes closed where the scoops lead under the hood. With the hood as is coming straight off a TC, the location of the opening for the 4 cylinder's air filter will let water come down on your transmission dipstick and if the dipsticks not fitted right, will get water in your transmission. If you take the plastic/rubbery stuff off without blocking off the holes in the scoops, you will probably be letting water fall onto your distributer which is not good either. Quote Selected

Reply #4 – April 20, 2005, 12:15:57 AM mine fits pissah. the rubber inlet needs to come off. scoops have plenty of room. no fitment issues. didnt block mine off, ive got the boot on the distributer. dont think it realy matters anyway. they dont realy collect much water if any at all. the engines hot enough to keep it dry.
