The first car I've ever drive was our Thunderbird. I was about 10 or 11 and it was on small airport. After that was loooong time and when I got my driving licence I used mum's Geo Metro and sometimes our Škoda Felicia (it was much better, than Metro). And after my father's death I came in for Thunderbird. Now it's my only car, but I'm still using Felicia, because Metro is sold and Ford is my toy for summer cruising :)

PS: It is very unusual here to have two american cars, but Metro was parody, not an american car. It was puppiesanese car with sealed beams and red tail lights.
PS2: Škoda Felicia is this.

It's still most frequent car in here although the last Felicia was made in year 2000.

My first car was a '78 Trans Am powered by a '70 LT1. WS6 suspension (disc brake rear). This car was a POS: Bondo quarter panels (3/4" thick), no carpets, no options, ripped up vinyl interior. Had the super rare 160MPH speedo (a guy offered to buy the whole car just for that speedo). Because it was an original 400 car and now had a SBC the shaker scoop was recessed about 4" into the hood when I bought it. I made up a riser for it so it came up through the hood as God intended.

A POS, but I loved that car and still miss it. I named it "Bertha" (the only car I'd ever named). It was silly fast, especially in a sea of Chevettes, Omnis, K-Cars and the other junk my high school buddies were stuck driving. It had the TH350 tranny and thanks to highway gearing it would do 55MPH in first gear, 90 in second, and I had it showing 140 in third, scaring myself silly in the process (the car felt like it weighed about two pounds at that speed).

This car was famous at the high school thanks to my habit of bringing a carlaod of buddies to the local abandoned shopping mall parking lot and doing donuts and pirouhettes every lunch hour. So famous it had its own photo in the school yearbook :hick:

Some day I will own another, but in good shape. Below is a pic, not of my car, but of one that looks exactly like Bertha did, right down to the steelies, spray bomb paint, and missing front chin spoiler. I eventually replaced the steelies with the polycast snowflakes...

My first car was an 87 Plymouth Voyager with a 2.6 I4 Mitsu 2bbl engine and a 3 speed auto. My parents handed it down to me and bought a new Caravan. It was ice blue metallic and the slowest car ever:hick:. I used to drive me and a friend to high school in it and the girls at the school next door (I went to an all boys Catholic high school and there was an all girls Catholic high school next door) used to call us the "blue van boys":rollin:

The first car I bought was my 88 T-bird. I've had it for 7 years.

My first car was my 88 thunderbird. I've have three, my 88 and my 87 turbo coupe(which I sold), and I bought an 87 sport that was rusted pretty bad to use the 5.0 motor to put in my 88. I ended up buying my 1972 Cutlass 442 after I sold the turbo coupe. So at 19, I have had 4 cars.

softtouch, I am a die-hard Ford guy and even I think that picture is awesome! I actually had a 53 Plymouth in high school. I got it off the back row at a Ford dealer for $75. That was in 1977 and I just sped it in 2004. The pic is from that day. What other cool cars have you had?

P.S. I spent today moving two 40 Fords around and winterizing a 41 Ford pickup and 36 Ford coupe at my mom's place. Love those old Fords!

1978 F150 4x4, and I still have it.  Technically not a car, my first car was a '76 Toyota Super Deluxe corolla, and I learned to drive in a VW Thing.  Which explains my warped view on vehicles. :mullet:

Honistly my grandparents had a 1986 cougar in there back yard and they were going to give it to me to fix up and be my first car when i was 16. But they sold the house and all the old cars before i could get it out of there.

Figured I would throw up some pictures.
My 86 cat. Origonally had manuel everything and no passenger side mirror. I broke the lock inside the door and went to the junkyard to buy a lock, and they wanted the same for the lock and door panel as they did for the whole door, so I ended up just throwing a new door on.

And the first car I ever bought with my own money, as well as my dads 86.

Figured I would leave them in thumb nail size as none are anything worth looking at.

You will be seeing more of the trunk from my old two tone blue car shortly :D.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
