Well for the most part I've desided on the four door mont.(though when it comes to cars I'm as bad as awoman with shoes.)
Reasons for this choise go as fallows:

As stated above 4 doors make car seats MUCH more painless(my bad back)

I love sleepers, and a 4 door makes a great sleeper.

they are a bit cheeper than the 2 door.

and lastly, I just want one;)

That is the key to 99% of vehicle purchases. My buddy did appraisals for years, he owned his own appaisal business. I asked him what the hardest thing was to appraise, paint, engine, interior, underneath, trim, options, or ?? Without hesitating, he said, "Emotion." Guys always think their cars are worth more than they are because of emotion. And why not? You wouldn't buy the car if you didn't like it. So, if you want a 4dr mont, BUY ONE!!!! Good luck in the search.

My dad's 91 wagon weighed in at just over 5,000 pounds without a full tank of gas and under 200 pound driver. Back in the day you had to have a real life break check and they weighed your car to get the front to rear brake ratio. It was nearly 2600 pounds front and 2590 pounds rear. If you really want something slower then ANY bird ever was, then yeah that would be a good car to get. Even with the H.O. 351 there 1/4 mile time is over 19 seconds.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Especially when you consider that the old GM wagons with the clam-shell rear windows weighed less that 5,000lbs! Maybe it was a motor-home? :D

Just curious, if you have two other cars to finish before you are ready to start looking for a Fairmont, why did you even start this thread?
