3200 for an 87-88 TC is pretty light, IMO.  They usually come in a couple hundred pounds heavier.

I'll weigh the Sport this week sometime and post it for all to see.The a/c and smog delete took off a little weight,as did the 5 speed swap, but,I took the 7.5 out and installed an 8.8,and took off the factory 14 inch wheels and installed 17x9 and 17x10's,so,I added weight here and there as well.I'm interested to know.

Correcto ;)

And would anyone hazard a guess roughly what a iron headed 5.0 Sport would weigh, after a fair bit of weight reduction?

ALL the sound deadener inside, rear seat, ALL A.C. stuff, spare, trunk carpet, removed all the stereo equipment.
Car has/will have T5/8.8/TC brakes and suspension/wheels...
Just looking for a baseline number...don't even have a goal, just seeing if anyone has done the same and wondering what their car weighed out at...

I suppose I could've weighed it as I pulled it out, but that would've been too fun lol

After the gutting, I predict 3150-3200.

My 87 TC with the factory wheels and the 460 (720 lbs) and C-6 trans weighs 3400 exactly without driver and 1/4 tank of gas and has subframe connectors.
(it still has the full interior without sound deadener )

I forgot that I pulled all the carpet insulation out a long time ago. Nasty stuff.

Wonder how much converting the drivers seat to non-power would drop. My guess is at least 30 lbs.

Realistically, more like 10-20Lbs. There is no way the motors weigh 30 Lbs.

As an aside, I ALMOST took the Pass. Side power stuff from a Heritage I saw, but the control bezel was in worse shape than mine.

10-20 lbs does sound realistic.

On our 87 Turbo Coupe 460 I weighed alot of stuff out of curiousity when  I lightened the car and I think that electric seat setup was a 18 lbs difference.

I know that all of the unnecessary wiring I took out added up to 40 lbs ! That shocked me.

The door side beams were 10 lbs each. Not worth the trouble.

So how much does your 460 Coupe weigh?

Edit, sorry I found it, My 87 TC with the factory wheels and the 460 (720 lbs) and C-6 trans weighs 3400 exactly without driver and 1/4 tank of gas and has subframe connectors....
Not sure what you did to get it to 3400?

My Cadillac Powered TC weigh 3,500 with a full tank of gas and no one in it.  The trunk is empty, all the fancy wires have been removed for the suspension and brakes. Leather seats and power drivers seat.

I'm gong to have to put a roll bar in it soon and not really looking forward to the extra weight but maybe while I there I can take out more sound deadener and the back seat to make up for it.

this prompted me to reweigh my car.  I remembered it weighing 3800 last year.  But this year, it weighed 3580.  I changed the front seats, but reused the electric tracks, subframe connectors, boxed control arms, battleboxes, and the only thing I took out was that insulation/sound deadener(HEAVY ) behind the rear seat back.  Full a/c and everything along with a heavy holset turbo.

Just weighed the T-Bird at the local dump. The weight was 1670 KG (I'm in Canada, so it's metric). That was with me in the car, 1/4 tank of gas, and my 12" sub in the trunk. The car was weighed in "as driven" condition (I stopped in at the dump on a whim, so I didn't do anything to lighten it before weighing it). That means the spare and jack were present (as was my mini compressor and jumper cables).

1670KG works out to 3674 pounds (2.2 pounds to the KG). Subtract my weight of 235 pounds and we're left with a 3439 pound Thunderbird (including sub, booster cables, and compressor). This is a base model 5.0 car, 100% stock under the hood (right down to the smog pump and cast manifolds). It has few options (Power windows, locks, mirrors, air, cruise, tilt). The AOD was swapped out for a T5, the 7.5 was swapped out for an 8.8 with discs, and it has subframe connectors and a class II trailer hitch. The exhaust is full duals with no cats. There are two amplifiers mounted to the back of the back seat as well.

All in all, at 3439 pounds, it's lighter than I would have thought, especially with some of the not-too-light things I've added (8.8" rear, SFC's, trailer hitch, sub & amps). I now wish I'd weighed it before the additions, just to see what it weighed bone stock...
