Straight lines are fun but they only last a few seconds. I want something I can drive and still hold a corner. Inspiration is Gregs car. good power with all the comforts. Ill be a lot heavier and demand cornering ability. A lot of work is going into suspension, strengthening the chassis so I dont twist it to hell, and making it feel like an everyday car at cruising speeds. As of now I plan on going PowerStroke for the Ford factor, but cummins might find its way under the hood. Better be thinking about something lighter/other than a "D" then.Quote[As of now I plan on going PowerStroke for the Ford factor, but cummins might find its way under the hood./QUOTE]Not if you want it to handle at all. Gregs car is sweet but its still a dag car. It may handle decent for the street but im willing to bet its no corner carver. Quote Selected
Dumb swap idea.. Reply #33 – September 26, 2009, 03:26:31 AM Also I saw that Isuzu deisel swap in a 95 Grand cherokee in British Columbia many years ago. The owner claimed he was getting like 45-50 MPG highway. He also said the swap was horribly expensive . new engine and extra's was $7000+ to do himselfback then. Quote Selected
Dumb swap idea.. Reply #34 – September 26, 2009, 06:15:46 AM I just got back from a trip to France and was amazed to find that nearly every car there was diesel. The Citroen C5 Wagon we rented was diesel as well, and you really wouldn't know it. Very smooth and quiet, only making real "diesel" noises when you first started cold.Shiny Side Up!Bill Quote Selected

Just something I can throw around a corner at a decent speed and not feel like its going to skip off the road. This is true. I was more talking about the fact he retained all the comfort items.
