That rear axle is cleaner than my Mustang's and that one sits in the garage and gets waxed constantly.

Looks great Irv.  I remember seeing the ad for your car when it was for sale.  Definitely post more pics.  I hope mine looks like yours some day.

it had the rusty jones type rproofing when new and
the lady never drove it in winter or bad weather. when we got
the stuff of the underneath its how i found it. i took an
awful lot of dospoogeent pics underneath and in the motor comp.
did the same thing on the 86 capri in case someone ever was
doing a resto. hope the next owner is as good a caretaker
as ive tried to be.
if you guys[and gals] need pics of a certain area let me know.
the only area i cant get to on my hoist is under the middle.
but i can take down the street to a 2 post  at a friends shop.

sold the capri back in june 07 to fund a cougar.then i
bought the 88. my attention span on a car doesnt
last a long time. i dump a ton of money detailing
and then lose my a&* selling it. works every time.
the next owner comes out ok though

The car looks great:D Why does it sit so high? My 88 T-bird with the stock suspension sits much lower.

100k+ miles will do that to springs.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
