help please...

Seems like everytime I give it gas or when it is at a certain RPM (around 1300- up) it makes a popping noise coming out the rear exhaust. Im not sure what it could be. Also when i reved it, some liquid came out of the exhaust and it was black, nasty looking. Could it be because I haven't started it up in a while or what? not sure what it could be. anyone got any ideas, please feel free to post. Thanks.

1. Drain it (Probably your best bet)
2. Fill the tank up all the way if it is not (to dilute it some) then drive her till emptyto get rid of as much as possible(something I would advise against)

dry gass might help. motorcycle shops have good stabilizer. a little goes a long way. it works pretty much like dry gas..

The Stabil works great at removing water, and that's exactly what it's designed to do.Just follow the instructions on amount to use,and off you go.

But what would make my exhaust make a popping noise when I rev it a little?

I'm thinking water also.

Phyxius, I was also told to use moth balls to help it run cleaner. Never tried it, but found it interesting to hear someone else say it.

I've never heard of using moth balls, has anyone here tried it and has satisfactory results?

Googled "mothballs gasoline" and got this so far:

http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/chem00/chem00485.htm

That led to this link:

http://www.georgenitta.com/mothballs/mothballs.htm

Note that the topic in question for most of this is using certain types of mothballs for octane boosting, not for water.. but on the second link it DOES mention something about treating water in gas.

I'm not endorsing this stuff by linking to it.. take it for what you will. Personally, I don't think I would try any of the above unless I heard a LOT more feedback in support of it.
