your cars orientation...(names + gender) Reply #17 – April 17, 2009, 10:59:04 PM I'm a firm believer that if the car earns a name then it gets one. So some of mine do and some of mine don't I call my T-bird Da bird, that is the name it picked for its self before I was the owner it was handed down with the car so it has to stay, Da bird is a girl because when I talk to her girl is most normally in there some where. I can tell she seems to respond to it well. Also if I don't take her out and play with her on a regular basis she gets all temper mental an makes sure she gets my undivided attention. Women like all of them they make sure to empty your wallet yet have us all coming back for more time after time! Stuckman Quote Selected
your cars orientation...(names + gender) Reply #18 – April 17, 2009, 11:20:29 PM The Tbird is just "The Tbird" or "The Thunderturd", or inexplicably "Full Metal Chicken" (ex gf called it that...no idea where it came from). My Monte Carlo is "The Monte". if it had to have a shag I suppose it'd be a girl, because it's sleek and classy and can move if it wants to, but always feels best taking things steady. I fantasize about smashing it with a hammer or dropping a vice on it from 10 feet above. I don't know why I feel this way, maybe it's because it's broken 5 times at the track (2 PS pumps, 1 alternator, 1 differential, 1 tailpipe blew off.) I sat for 2 hours on Wed. waiting for a boost from AAA so I could get the rest of the way home after my battery ran out of juice when the alternator ped out.Speaking of altenators, I've had my car for 2 years now and I have been through 3, yes 3 altenators. The current one, the fourth is already weak. I have bought 1 refurbished one from ford, one came from carquest, one came off my 5.0 parts car, and this one is a AC Delco remanufactured. Yes AC Delco actually does have a remanufacturing unit fo other makers. Quote Selected

your cars orientation...(names + gender) Reply #25 – April 18, 2009, 11:34:07 PM The 87 is Roxanne - named after the Police song. She has red lights and loose parts. The 97 is Xena (Warrior Princess)....Let's just say I was a really big fan of that show around the time I bought her. Quote Selected
your cars orientation...(names + gender) Reply #26 – April 18, 2009, 11:43:00 PM I haven't named my current bird.My first one was Katie she died. I also had a Taurus that was Susan. She died too.So I have not named this bird because she might die... However the people at my work sometimes call it the "The Brown Dragon" kinda like the name from the movie Old Skool. Quote Selected
your cars orientation...(names + gender) Reply #27 – April 19, 2009, 10:10:46 AM I call my car 'her' when I'm talking about it, but I didn't name it. Then again, when doing my brother's concrete pad yesterday I was asking "Just dump her here?" whilst holding a wheelbarrow full of excess concrete. I don't think it's about the car having a female personality. I just call most inanimate objects 'her'. Quote Selected
