Don't judge a book by it's cover.

This is about the best example of that saying I have ever seen.

Can't wait to hear her other songs! That was impressive!

People can knock shows like this, but I think they really give normal people a chance to show a performance like that one.

That was incredible. Thanks, man.

These shows do give some people chances they otherwise wouldn't get, but they're not good for the industry, or music in general. Once they pick someone, they become "Formula Pop Singer # Eleventy Zillion" and any chance that person had at doing something original are slim to none. Then think of all the great artists that ponce Cowel shrugs off and calls 'Terrible', who might have shook up the scene, but instead gets the whole world telling them to give up and go to trade school. More harm than good, if you ask me, displaying everything that is wrong with the music industry as a whole.

Yeah but you know what? Her being the age she is, I'm sure that's all that she's wanted at this point is to make her voice known and get a reaction like that, from a crowd that size.

That was truly some unexpected singing! Kudos to her.

Absolutely! She looked like she was having a blast doing it too. She didn't even wait around to get her review. It was almost like she lit a cigarette. :hick: "Well, I'm spent."

You can absolutely tell it was her goal to show up the world, then leave them dumbstuck.  I'm actually sort-of sad they managed to turn her around, it would have had all the more impact if she just strutted off the stage and that was that.

Watched the start again. Gives me chills.

These shows give people a chance but they remove the struggle also. Its like having rich parents (Brooke Hogan). That is were they lose a little respect. In this case though, I dont see many people ever giving her a chance. It would be a high risk. I dont know what the music culture is like over there but that is also going to play into her success. As in type, age, focus on appearance, style. If there is an audience for her style I see no reason why she would not continue after this show.
